National Certification, International Recognition
ABA International is an International Non-Profit Association dedicated to the development of high-quality consistent standards which transcend national borders.
ABA International evolved from the 2009 European Chainsaw Certificate (ECC) project which was undertaken in response to a demand for international recognition of qualifications within this sector.
Through a process of continuous development and improvement, ABA has refined and augmented the base ECC standards to produce a comprehensive quality assurance framework for delivery across a wide range of industry sectors. The trans-national mobility of qualified people facilitated by a voluntary partnership of qualification centres is one of our core principles. ABA centres are subject to an International accreditation and vetting process.
Partner agreements include general procedures for cooperation; transfer of qualification credits; ABA Centre responsibilities; certification endorsement etc.
Further, ABA endeavors to promote the mutual recognition of its centres qualifications world-wide therefore reducing or removing potential barriers to employment and mobility.
